Australia Part 17 - Melbourne

I stopped here for a quick break; which ended up being ice cream. It was delicious and after all I skipped dessert at lunch.
Further down the river is this strange looking bridge that has very odd lines. I loved how the shadows hit the concrete.
From there I started to head for the bay. To get there I walked through an area I'd imagine most tourists don't walk through. This quiet park was nice break from the hustle of the city.
I had already walked a long way, and at this point I was feeling the enormity of the task remaining. The beach stretching into the sunset was my next path. My destination still out of sight.
This seagull was eyeing me up. I liked the lines the walkway gave me and the bird was patient. I suspect he only wanted his picture taken. Cheeky.
I remember taking this picture thinking how beautiful bronze looks once weathered. Once exposed to the elements each piece takes on a life of its own.
This was the last major stop I had planned. A small cafe that sits on the end of St. Kilda Pier. The historic significance of the cafe was a bit lost on me. I was here for the penguins that call it home.
