Coming to Tokyo Disney was one of the main attractions that made want to fly to Japan in the first place.
I had watched countless videos of other people’s adventures here and it looked like a magical place where I could escape the rigors of a hectic travel schedule. The whole day was incredible and I took a massive amount of pictures to highlight some of my favourite details.

Back in North America?
This was in the American Waterfront section of DisneySea. There was a whole street (more pictures to come) dedicated to a faithful recreation of early 1900s New York.
Looking For Detail
I didn’t start taking pictures until midday because I spent the first 2 to 3 hours trying to get on every ride I could.
Electric Trains!
Once I rode what I could, I took some time to wander and look for snacks. Below this train was an amazing orange churro as well as white chocolate matcha popcorn,
Indy!
I couldn’t help myself, I love the Indiana Jones movies and it was fun to see the plane just hanging out on the beach.
Donald, you okay?
This was in a line up to meet mickey, just off to the side. It was astonishing to me just how much detail and care went into the ques. A surprising highlight!
I went full Tourist
I rarely go full tourist!
Magic Carpet
They had a section devoted to the Arabian Coast from Aladdin. This was the view from the top of the magic carpets.
Almost Missed It
This was one of the details I missed in the morning as I briskly walked to get a fast pass for Soarin’. Looking at this picture now, I struggle to find any detail that breaks the illusion that this picture was taken in Japan and not the Mediterranean.
A ship!
The theme of DisneySea is the Society for Explorers and Adventures. So all throughout the park there’s little hints towards some of the places and people involved with the society. Including the massive ship I explored!
It's an illusion!
This was hidden within the castle at the base of Mount Prometheus. It was a fun illusion that made the walls of the room appear much larger and almost 3D.
A Wide View
It was at this point I realized I hadn’t taken any good pictures of the lake at the middle of the park. This is looking towards the entrance.
The Other Way
This looks back towards the mountain and Castle I had just explored.
Pixar and Spooky Hotels
This was the best version of Tower of Terror I have had the pleasure of riding. It was lightning fast with stomach churning drops.
The Entrance
I was in such a rush that morning, I didn’t take any photos of the entrance or the way in. So I backtracked all the way to the entrance to capture what it’s like when you first arrive.
Pit Stop for the Crew
While taking photos I was momentarily distracted by a few characters walking around holding hands. Adorable!
Entrance of the World
This was the main draw of the entrance. The globe was huge and slowly rotated on top of a mound of rushing water.
Incredible
Not much more to it than that, but the feeling when first coming into DisneySea took my breath away. While rushing to to get my first fast pass of the day I had to slow down and take it in, making an audible ‘oh my’.
Italy, is That You?
A faithful recreation of Vence, and it was surprisingly convincing!
Seriously, Venice, that you?
I’ve been to Venice, and even the colours of the building felt genuine. Incredible to feel like I was back in Italy.
Just like Italy!
The big draw of this section was a gondola ride around the lake and some delicious smelling restaurants.
Look Upon the Mount
Looking across the lake from Italy and you have a great view of the mountain and castle.
Titanic Lite
In the American Waterfont section there is a very large steam ship, and I completely forgot to explore it. So I’ll have to save that for next time!
Ariel's Grotto
This was the entrance to an area intended for smaller children, themed after The Little Mermaid. It was incredibly colourful and fun down there, and I completely forgot to take a photo. So this is all I got!
