Brisbane is a city I could live in very easily. It's incredibly walkable and plenty of places for coffee or food. The colours were stating to emerge and it was a special time.

I met a friend for dinner that night after I had drove back from the zoo. We went to a place that specialized in German cuisine, which means I ate meat and drank beer. Hard to turn down because this was essentially the view.
These lizards were everywhere (I really have to start remembering the names of all there creatures). Their relationship to they city seems similar to the squirrels back home.

This tree is called the Jacaranda, and I heard tell of a great spot where they bloom. I walked up there on my way back to the hotel and was pleasantly surprised. Sometimes the internet lies, if you don't know.
I've gotten into a habit on my trips of taking a "homepage wallpaper" for my phone that has awesome colour and detail but isn't distracting. This one has yet to be displaced.
In a country full of beaches, I found it incredibly funny that Brisbane put one in the middle of the city. Stay weird Brisbane.
This optical illusion greeted me every day for a week as I got back from my adventures.
